Supporting Data Protection Legislation
The Information Comissioner, based in WIlmslow will soon be introducing new legislation which means that companies who have issues with the protection of customer data and are not seen to be doing anything to protect their customers from harm may be fined between 5% and 10% of their annual turnover.
Yasoma is working with one of the UK largest communication companies to ensure they continue to protect their customer information. With potential fines of over £150 Million and other costs of £42 Million, a data loss could have a serious impact on the company. Yasoma has recently set up a very effective programme of work aimed at ensuring customer data continues to be protected.
This programme includes enhancements to technology, optimisation of processes, the refreshing of Information Security policies and standards and also the implementation of cultural change.
